Forget about heading to Starbucks for your coffee fix today.Because, you can easily make one of these cool, refreshing frappes right at home in less than five minutes.

When I want a Starbucks beverage (hot or cold), I’m usually not in the mood to run out to buy one if I can make it at home.

When I’m out already, that’s a different story, but in most cases to spend the big bucks on a their smallest size which is called a “short” is hard for me to do.

So, that brings me to my newest Starbucks Frappuccino copycat recipe that I’m sharing with you today.

This happens to be one of my all time favorite frappes and it’s also one that’s been around probably since Starbucks began to make frappes.

The Star Recipe Today Is A Copycat Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino

It’s a basic recipe with a little secret to make it stay creamy until the last sip.

Here’s a quick story how I found out the secret about the way Starbucks keeps this yummy frappe creamy. It was so simple and surprising…

When I was in Starbucks recently, it happen to be a quiet time of day and one of the nice barista’s and I started chatting,

She recognized me from visiting her Starbucks in the past and we just got to talking about all the different flavors on their menu.

After going over the menu a billion times, because as we all know, it’s not easy to decide what to order at Starbucks since everything is so good, I finally went with my old time favorite the mocha frappe.

I had to ask her at that moment while she was making my grande, what was in their mocha frappe that kept it together and creamy most of the whole time drinking away.

Well, if you want to know what she told me, you will have to check out the recipe below to find out.

Of course, you don’t have to add this secret ingredient, it’s still delicious with the four basic ingredients—not including ice and whipped cream.

Because some of us are whipped cream people and some of us just like our frappes just as is. For me, it just depends on my mood for the day. But, most of the time, it’s a whipped cream day.

I think this recipe is a pretty close clone to the original and so did my taste testers.

You decide for yourself. I really hope you love this frappe as much as I do and since it takes less than five minutes to make at home and a fraction of the cost to buy one, isn’t it worth it? I think so.

So, if you are excited about trying this cool and delicious frappe with the combo of coffee and chocolate, check out my hot version, Copycat “Oldie” Starbucks Cafe Mocha that’s also here on my blog.

It’s one of Starbuck’s first specialty hot beverages and it’s still so popular they kept it on the menu even with all the other newer beverages added.

It is just as delicious, but great for a day when you need to warm up instead of cool down and again, you don’t want to run out and buy one.

All of the copycat recipes on my blog are simple to make at home, at a fraction of the cost to buy one.

Enjoy every last chilly sip of this mocha frappuccino and be sure to check out the others.
